Mona Younes, O.D., M.S.
Dr. Younes is a graduate of Alexandria University, Egypt medical school class of 1981. She completed her Optometry education from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 1987 and got her residency/master’s degree from the same University in 1994. Dr. Younes is a therapeutic optometrist and a certified glaucoma specialist. She is a participant in the infatsee program that screens infants under the age of 12 months for visual problems. She served on the faculty as a visiting assistant professor from 1995-2018. Dr Younes is proud to call Katy home and welcomes every member of your family.

I have been with Vision Source Katy for the past 17 years and been involved in various areas of the business.
At present, I am the insurance specialist at the location and assist the office with all insurance questions and needs.
I have lived in Katy since 1984 with my husband and two sons.

I have worked at this Vision Source location since 2011 as a doctors assistant. I also have experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
I am Spanish speaking and love to help with translation and eyewear selection. I was raised in Brookshire, Tx and now reside in the Katy area.

I work in various positions here including doctors assistant, lab tech, and front desk.
I speak Arabic and will be happy to help the Arabic speaking community with their needs I am currently working towards receiving my associate’s degree in Biology at Lonestar College.

I can help at the front desk and frame styling. I am also a lab tech. Currently I am a U of H student working toward my bachelor’s degree.

I have recently joined the Vision Source Katy team in 2020. I am currently a student at HCC working on getting my bachelor degree. I hope eventually to become a Physician Assistant.
